Honey Sticks 101: Reading the Market, Honey! ♡

Learn to read the story behind a price candle. Today's goal: understand what a candle can—and cannot—tell you.

✦ Lesson 03 preview · About 5 minutes

First, meet the Honey Stick (candlestick)

A Honey Stick is our B Hive nickname for a candlestick. A candlestick summarizes price movement over a chosen time period. The body spans the opening and closing prices. The thin lines, called wicks, show the high and low.

Illustrative candles only, not live market data or trade signals.

🐝 Queen Bee Tip

One pretty Honey Stick does not mean you should enter a trade! Look at the broader trend, nearby price levels, and your risk plan before considering a simulated setup.

Let's practice, honey!

Imagine a 5-minute candle opens at $100, reaches $104, falls to $99, and closes at $103. What does the candle's body represent?

✍️ Your practice challenge

Draw three imaginary Honey Sticks (candles) in a notebook. For each one, label its open, high, low, and close. Then write one sentence about why a single Honey Stick cannot predict the next price move.
